A bulldozer is standing by today, as the building\'s owners await a permit. The city-inspector issued an emergency demolition order, as the two-story Victorian is near collapse. Some architects maintain, though, the home can be stabilized. The "Chronicle" reports the city-attorney is investigating claims the owners may have deliberately neglected the property by exposing it to the elements by leaving the doors open. In doing so, the inspector says, the owners were ultimately able to bypass regulations and get a demolition-order.

Bay Area Sports Agencies Donate To A Vallejo Little League In Need

(Vallejo, CA) -- Infineon Raceway and the Oakland A\'s are stepping up to the plate and helping young Vallejo baseball players raise money for much-needed supplies. According to a recent audit, Texas ranked first by being the only state to provide Internet access to all types of records including, school-bus performance and gas stations that skimp on fuel. The Golden State finished 23rd, behind Alabama and North Dakota. California received high-praise for posting Caltrans contracts and bridge-safety data online.
